The Bayo Fatusin Foundation is a non-Governmental, non-profit organization following the word of God to care and provide for the less privileged. Over 2,000 verses in the Holy Bible describe God’s love and passion for the poor. Throughout his Holy Word, God commands his people to give what they have and share their wealth with those less fortunate.
Our Lord Jesus said in the book of Mathew 25:4 that “whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you do to me.”
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, 60.9% of Nigerians are living in absolute poverty. They are living on less than $1 per day and can only afford the bare essentials of shelter, food, and clothing. In 2010, 93.9% of respondents stated they felt themselves to be poor, which is a dramatic increase compared to 75.5% in 2004. These statistics are staggering, and reflect a population that is not only hungering for basic necessities of food and medical care, but also for spiritual connection and personal empowerment.
Through the generous donations of the successful philanthropist, Mr. Bayo Fatusin, and the efforts of our staff and volunteers, we are able to reach out to this suffering population and provide much needed food, supplies, education opportunities, and a spiritual connection to the lord God.
