*In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.*
Almighty and Ever-Living God of power and might. I thank You for the gift of today, being the 80th day of the year 2019. I thank You for providing for my needs and for always been there for me. As the new day begins Lord God, I beg You to please free me from my selfishness. Help me, instead, to remain focused upon the dignity of all people, and to pour myself out in their service. Help me to discover in the poor, the broken and the humble, an image of You. And as I discover Your presence in their lives, may I love You, in them, seeking to be an instrument of Your mercy. Help me to be generous and serve the needs of my neighbour. May I never be self-centered and always be on the know that there is more to life than riches. During this season of Lent, may money, vanity and pride never rule over me. May I never be spiritually blind to the reality of God or those around me but be a source of hope and joy to others. Amen.
