*In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.*
Almighty and Ever-Living God, You are the Alpha and Omega, a God of mercy and new beginnings. I come into Your throne of grace with happiness and joy in thanksgiving for Your goodness and mercy to me. I thank You for the gift of today, being the first day and first Wednesday of the month of May, (the 121st day of the year 2019). As this new month begins, once again *I am reminded and assured by Your words in Isaiah 65:17-21 of You creating a new heavens and a new earth and that the past will not be remembered or called to mind.* Despite the shortcomings I experienced in the previous Months, I come to You to renew my strength and re-dedicate myself to You. I know You know my needs better than I do that is why I turn to Your Spirit to teach me what to ask for this month in prayer and thanksgiving. I beg You Lord to help me to begin anew. Make every good things new for me and help me to keep my eyes firmly focused upon the glory of Your Resurrection. May the joy of that gaze keep me from the countless distractions of evil all around me throughout this month. Banish from me all vices of hatred and disbelief and make me love what You love, desire what You desire, and give generously as You have been so generous towards me. Amen.
